Captiwate vs Snitcher

Snitcher tells you the company. Captiwate talks to the visitor.

Snitcher turns anonymous traffic into a list of companies for Slack and your CRM, priced by how many it identifies each month. Captiwate does the identification too — and then lets your team chat, call and video-call those visitors while they’re still on your site.

Where Captiwate is different

The list is where Snitcher stops

Snitcher resolves a visit to a company, scores it, alerts Slack and pushes the record to your CRM or outreach tool. Captiwate does that identification and then lets your team chat, call or video-call the visitor while they’re still on the page, with AI chat covering the hours nobody is online.

Who is on the page, not who works there

Snitcher matches IP addresses to companies; its Identity Layer names a person only after they fill a form, log in or click one of your emails, and “Reveal Contacts” looks up decision-makers at the company from a database. Captiwate identifies the visiting company and, where lawful, the person on the page, so your reps know who they are talking to before they say hello.

No cap on identified companies

Snitcher’s price steps up with every band of companies identified per month, from $49 for 50 to $529 for 5,000. Captiwate is one number — your monthly visitors — from $15,000/year, with unlimited seats, conversations and identified companies on every plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can I migrate from Snitcher to Captiwate?

Yes. Captiwate takes care of teams coming from Snitcher financially and during the move. Setup is a single JavaScript snippet; you connect HubSpot or Salesforce, point alerts at Slack or Teams and rebuild your Snitcher filters as Captiwate traffic segments and automation flows. Bring your current Snitcher setup to a 30-minute walkthrough and leave with a plan.

How does Snitcher pricing compare to Captiwate’s?

Snitcher sells one plan whose monthly price is set by the number of companies identified that month: $49 for up to 50, $99 for up to 250, $179 for up to 750, $279 for up to 2,000, $529 for up to 5,000 and custom above that, with about 30% off for annual billing and unlimited team members on every band (as listed on snitcher.com/pricing, 2026-09-04). For a small team that only needs the list, Snitcher is the cheaper tool. Captiwate is annual and priced on monthly visitors: Grow is $15,000/year up to 20,000 visitors, Scale is $30,000/year up to 100,000, Unlimited is custom — with unlimited seats, conversations and identified companies included.

Does Snitcher identify people, or only companies?

Snitcher’s help center states it identifies “companies, not people” from the IP address. Its Identity Layer attaches a name to a visitor only from first-party signals — a form submission, a login or a click on one of your emails — and its Reveal Contacts feature looks up decision-makers at the identified company from a database, with 100 email reveals a month included. Captiwate identifies the visiting company and, where lawful, the person on the page, and shows your reps that context before they start a chat, a video call or a co-browsing session.

Is Captiwate GDPR compliant, like Snitcher?

Yes. Captiwate is GDPR and CCPA compliant, SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, and offers customizable data-privacy options. Snitcher states it is GDPR compliant on the basis of legitimate interest, hosts visitor data on AWS in Frankfurt, and lists ISO 27001 as “in progress” on its website.

Do I need both Snitcher and Captiwate?

Usually not: Captiwate identifies visiting companies and people itself and alerts Slack, Teams and your CRM, so most teams replace Snitcher outright. If you rely on Snitcher’s contact reveals to feed Apollo or Lemlist sequences, you can keep that running alongside Captiwate — Captiwate handles the on-site conversation, your outbound stack handles what happens after the visit.

Is there a free trial?

No, a free trial is not available today. We offer a fully customized demo built around your website, so you can see how Captiwate would work on your live site before committing.

Do I need a developer to set up Captiwate?

No. Adding Captiwate is a single JavaScript snippet, similar to Google Analytics. Our team handles the full setup and most customers are live within minutes — no engineering resources required.
