A word from our CEO

Why we’re building Captiwate — and why we think the answer to tired buyers isn’t more automation.

Selling, the art of dealmaking, is fundamentally about trust and fostering human connections. Technology may help us — but it can never replace us.

I’ve been playing the sales game for startups since 2017, helping them scale their revenue from product-market fit to over $15 million in ARR.

In less than a decade, sales have changed a lot: playbooks and methods were tried, scaled, and beaten to the ground. The writing is on the wall: buyers today are tired, and outbound channels are succumbing to worsening returns as a result.

The latest trend, of course, is even more of the same, with AI automation replacing humans, and it’s not just happening in sales. We see it in the creative fields and art as well, and something soulless emerges where human creativity and empathy are crucial.

That’s why we started Captiwate: selling, the art of dealmaking, is fundamentally about trust and fostering human connections. In that endeavor, technology may help us — but it can never replace us.

Our mission is to make Captiwate the technology that can foster those human connections, almost magically, at the right time between the right people, and we hope you’ll join us for the ride.

The core values that form and run Captiwate

Three habits we hold each other to — with users, teammates and partners alike.

01

Confidence with Humility

We speak with conviction about what we know while acknowledging what we don’t. This balance lets us bring expertise to challenges while remaining curious about new perspectives. Whether with users, teammates, or partners, we combine confident authority with humble listening — enabling bold action and continuous growth.

02

Acting with Purpose

We pursue progress with intention and drive. When opportunities arise, we make thoughtful decisions and follow through with determination. Acting with purpose means owning our choices, adapting quickly, and turning bold ideas into tangible results. Real impact comes from decisive execution, not endless planning.

03

Open and Direct

We believe in honest, transparent communication. We say what we mean with respect and clarity, while staying open to diverse perspectives. This balance of candor and inclusivity helps us share feedback constructively and build stronger relationships. It’s not about being blunt — it’s about being genuine, so we can learn and grow together.
